Me!Now

Welcome to Me!Now, an ongoing exploration of the challenges of living together in harmony.

Community is our greatest asset. Yeah no that didn’t exactly happen now did it? But it still can and what we need to do is add enough Us!Then to our overly generous helping of Me!Now. As challenging as that is to apparent human nature, the truly difficult part lies in the word “we”. For even if every individual were sufficiently enlightened it would not be enough, for the “we” refers to the collective, which is greater than the sum of its individuals. (Emergent properties and all that.)

As my 8th grade PE teacher screamed at the blazing phalanxes of wilting wincing whining boys, their arms extended for over twenty minutes now in atonement for some manufactured slight: “Gentlemen, as a group of individuals you have absolutely no integrity!” He was maliciously ignorant and blissfully correct. So starts the journey.
